Leslie is a lifelong Alaskan currently living in Homer, Alaska. Her artwork has won several awards in local and statewide juried shows. She paints in both acrylic and watercolor and enjoys a variety of natural subjects striving to capture their essences by balancing the literal and the abstract. She and Jens opened High Tide Arts in 1999.

Jens comes from Sweden and started making custom knives there in his early 20’s. He uses Alaskan materials such as fossilized walrus tusk, mammoth ivory and shed antler from caribou, moose and also dall sheep horn for his knife handles. His blades are a variety of 440C stainless and some are made from high carbon saw blades.
